Dart Energy shares below 30c

Soon after I found out about Dart Energy’s plans to drill for coal seam gas at Putty I checked their share price and it was $0.86. That was on 15 April 2011. Today the share price is $0.295.

The ASX ‘noted a change in the price of the Company’s securities from a close of $0.33 on Friday, 23 March 2012 to an intra-day low of $0.29 at the time of writing, 27 March 2012’.

The company was unable to explain the recent change in the company’s share price and volume of trading. See www.dartenergy.com.au

Perhaps it had something to do with a prominent Australian stockbroking firm stating in a client’s newsletter dated 21 March that extraction of shale gas poses a far lower environmental risk in Australia than coal seam gas and then backing it up with facts and figures with a list of companies involved in shale gas.
