Approval for CSG exploration in Putty Valley

Dart Energy now have approval for CSG exploration in the Putty Valley. At least we now know where it is and the battle can begin and I am fully prepared.

One exploration hole leads to many and unless we can stop it this will destroy our valley as we know it and very possibly the surrounding National Parks as miners bring in weeds and fungus and the waterways will become depleted and polluted.

Shame, shame, shame! Like smoking and fibro, history will show how bad this mining is so in 30 years time, when you are drinking desalinated water and buying vegetable from overseas make sure that you can say to your children or grandchildren that you opposed this mining. And I don’t mean just sitting in the pub saying that you don’t think it’s a good idea, I mean get out there, get informed, go to the rallies, sign the petitions, lobby your local member as well as turn off the lights and the air-con when they are not necessary.

  1. Hi Kathy
This mining is truly a terrible thing. I was in Byron Bay for the beach rally where we spelt "No CSM" in people on the beach. I believe there was a similar demonstration that day on Austinmer Beach in the Gong. I can't believe that the miners can just come in and do what they like, especially with such overwhelming evidence that there are drastic side effects.
    Keep me up to date.
